Mac Users - some helpful hints for Mac Users

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PALM USERS: Please do not confuse .prc books with .prc executable files on Palm OS - they have nothing in common except file extension. You CANNOT Hot Sync these .prc file. If you do Hot Sync these files, you will not be able to access them on your Palm. You need to install the Free MobiPocket Reader to read e-books. The MobiPocket Reader was developed by MobiPocket, the Amazon.com company.

Q. Can I read MobiPocket eBooks on the Mac?
A. Unfortunately not. The MobiPocket Reader is not available for Mac. However, you can use your Mac to transfer eBooks to your Handheld. Also, we are in the process of converting out eBooks into PDF format. You will be able to view PDF books on Mac computers.

Q. Why don't you develop the MobiPocket Reader for Mac?
A. We did not develop the MobiPocket Reader. The MobiPocket Reader was developed by MobiPocket, the Amazon.com company. We only use the reader to display the ebooks.

Q. I click on the hyperlink to a .prc file and Mac displays junk. What do I do wrong?
A. To save the .prc file on your local drive click on the hyperlink while pressing on the CTRL key on your keyboard. Click the Save Target As. Save the file to your local drive.
