BlackBerry: FAQ

IMPORTANT:
1. If you intend to load eBooks on SD card, you need to install MobiPocket Reader 5.3 or later onto your BlackBerry. The MobiPocket Reader 5.2 does NOT detect books located on the card.
2. All books located on SD card must be in the eBooks folder. The Reader will NOT detect books located in any other folder. See instructions here.
3. If you intend to connect BlackBerry to a desktop, please install BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software first. If you are connecting BlackBerry to a Windows PC, just install the Free MobiPocket Reader on the PC. This Desktop MobiPocket Reader will automatically install the correct version of MobiPocket Reader on the BlackBerry. If you are not connecting the BlackBerry to a Windows PC, please read the directions below.

Turn Power off. If you cannot Turn Power off from menu, soft reboot the device by inserting a toothpick or needle into a small window on the back of the device.
Another way to soft-reboot is to press the ALT + CAP + DELETE keys at the same time (red keys):

Will I loose any software after a soft reboot?
No software will be lost after soft reboot. The soft reboot closes all the programs and frees up memory.

Do I need a registration code?
No. Please download the full version from MobileReference.com or from one of our distributors (Handango.com, MobiPocket.com).

When I try to unzip a file, I get the error message: "The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted?
The most likely reason is an incomplete download - sometimes the network drops the download and you are left with half the file. We suggest that you check the file size (Right-click>Properties). Compare the "downloaded file" size to the file size on the server. Re-downloading the file always solves the problem. If it doesn't, please let us know, the file could have been compromised on the server. In this case we will re-upload the file and let you know when it is ready for download.
